KAY'S GONE!

Some good (if that's the word) footage of Moat arriving at the A&E on the BBC.

It's good night to Kay Burley then. She can go home to bed knowing that she got to break the news of Raoul Moat's death. I assume she already has already put her pajamas on and removed her make-up which is why we didn't see her tonight. Gerard Tubb is now speaking about how the police asked them to restrict what they reported. It actually sounds quite interesting but I am too tired to watch much more.

This story will make an interesting episode of Panorama in the next few days/weeks. I'd like to hear the whole story told properly.

I don't think he is dead on the BBC yet though, is he?

No, not dead on the BBC yet. The PA Newswire is reporting also that he has died.

Love the graphic on BBC News... "Rothbury, NE England" - take it this is a simulcast with BBC World News?

According to a mate at Sky, Kay was not in the Sky News Centre. She was reporting from an undisclosed location using ISDN.

BBC News now reporting that Raoul Moat has died.

Paula's mother was watching it on the telly, so I'm assuming so.

PS... If we think we're bad boys and girls for what we say about Kay, check out DS and feel slightly better.

I meant digital only. I'm just wondering if there are some people in the area who watched the 8pm update on BBC One or an earlier bulletin and have had no further news since.

Is it me or has the Sky Shot Sequence audio been changed? The clear "crack" of the gunshot seems to have been replaced with a series of muffled sounds.

Also, now that we know that shot was a fatal one, should they really be playing that out? Play the shouting, fair doose, but not the gunshot.

Tyne Tees goes digital in 2012.
