Manhunt in the North East

An hour after the news broke Andrew Wilson of Sky news is finally at the scene.

I'm considering that the BBC's coverage is actually a highly scripted comedy. The phonecall. The cyclist. Now poor Sue and friend.

And Andrew Wilson explained that they were caught up behind the police cordon on the wrong side of Rothbury

I understand ITV1 had a newsflash, did BBC One ?

I don't believe they've had anything since the 8pm update.

When was the ITV1 newsflash? Was it before or during Coronation Street?

ITV1 had a newsflash of sorts at the bottom of the hour: Alastair Stewart was positioned some distance away from events but did have raw footage of snipers lying down in a field. BBC One had the usual 90-second update just before 8pm.

Wilson was probably back in his hotel in Newcastle or where ever he's staying.

Andrew Wilson stated as he came on air that they were leaving Rothbury for the evening and were passed by a number of police cars, but were caught away from the camera site as police setup their cordons.
