Sounds serious enough for News channels to go into breaking news mode.

BBC and Sky keep cutting back to the story when more develops.

So far SkyNews doesnt have a reporter on the scene. They only have twitter video.
Its just repeating over and over.
They can fill out the visuals with maps one of the city and then the Arndale itself for people to familiarise themselves with the scene.

Ok at the top of the hour they got it together and knock up some maps and stuff and they got a camera down there.... IMO that took too long.
I still think if they had a camera network similar to EARTHCAM they would be able at least show part of the scene or at the least the outlying effects. A webcam in Exchange Square would have caught part of the scene. Just sayin'

I turn on BBC News channel to see they are discussing breast cancer! With all those facilities in Salford, what are they thinking?

Good point. A major event right on their doorstep and its not being given full focus

(NB Breast Cancer is a highly serious issue and should be discussed. Its just that priorities dictate)

A few minutes ago on BBC News the subtitles said “no fertility is reported” when newsreader Ben Brown said “no fatalities are reported”... 😂🙈

There was/is quite a big Extinction Rebellion protest happening outside the front doors of New Broadcasting House earlier which isn't being mentioned.

Would be even worse if Victoria Derbyshire was on air.

Not seen said video but that seems pretty irresponsible to me and I'm sure is something the authorities don't encourage.

If they've no live reporters or footage do think they should stick to regular updates between other coverage.

We should be thankful for small mercies.
