NBC are broadcasting an hour long Nightly News, will CNBC broadcast the hour, or will they split at midnight for Squawk Box Asia?

ABC & CBS are also live tonight for 60 minute long editions.

No ABR and Sport Today (or WNA for North America) on BBC WN; replaced by another half-hour of Newsday from London and Singapore.

Obviously CNBC don't know what feed to put out, it just cut to Squawk Box Asia, then cut to a promo mid report and then into adverts...

Here's hoping they put the next 30 mins on.

EDIT - That'll be a no then...

Double headed presentation on RT this evening.

The channel has also shown close ups of victims, blurred, although there was one shot in the 2300 bulletin where you could clearly make out bodies.

Yes, I was surprised to see Eunan O'Neill, a Northern Ireland native who's usually a sports presenter for RT, co-anchoring their coverage.

Eunan's been covering bulletins since about May I think.

Ugh...Fox News and MSNBC stick with regular partisan political hosts. Using no real journalist as presenters during primetime coverage of these stories. Fox of course finds a way to bash the US president during their coverage of the plane coverage. Vile and disgusting.

CNN and AJAM plays it straight, pulling out the stops. CNN certainly flexes its muscle and global resources to cover both the plane crash and the Israeli stories. Simulcasts continue at this hour on CNNI and CNN Domestic.

CNN is downright sensationalist. I watched a bit today and they just speculated speculated speculated.

Excellent report by Bridget Kendall at the top of the Ten. Proves how structured flagship bulletins are still needed in a time of 24 hour news. Of course bits and pieces is the very nature of breaking news, but how she managed to bring together the signficance of everything so concisely impressed me.

Yes, it was excellent, and contained interviews and other material, I'd not seen during the previous 3-4 hours on BBC News Ch. Why is that ?
