Any chance of giving us non-subscribers a summary of the article?

I don't subscribe either, just search the headline in Google and click on the result.

What did you put into Google? "BBC transvestite" ?

I found it whilst looking through The Ident Gallery's Twitter feed.

Makes you wonder what the point of the BBC's Audience Councils are - they were asked for comments on the Royal Wedding coverage and several regions minuted negative points about Fearne Cotton's contribution. It would appear that lessons weren't learned.

Whoever decided to use the likes of Fearne Cotton along with Sophie Raworth and Tess Daly clearly made the wrong call.

Fearne should have stayed on radio, Sophie Raworth was totally out of her depth and I guess Tess Daly was being used as part of her BBC contract (to get moneys worth)

A very sad episode in BBC history.

At least Sophie Raworth works for News normally, unlike Cotton & Daly!

I disagree about Sophie Raworth. I think it was perfectly right to have her as one of the senior news presenters in the heart of it. It seems the public were expecting a state performance from the BBC and that should have involved news and other serious presenter only.

It's hard to know if the News Channel is rolling with the story if you can't view it Wink

I can't see the News Channel, although one imagines they would be running the story.

You wouldn't think it warrants 37 pages of discussion would you?

It's not all about this one incident, it's been renamed for this incident, just like most threads are..
