Clare Balding has thrown in her tuppence worth:

Clare Balding . . . eloquent and dignified as always (well, except for that time with the teeth . . .)

You beat me to it, bbcsport.

When all is said and done, I think Balding summed it up perfectly in that article.

Off-topic, but she'll be a great loss to the BBC if she ends up going to Channel 4 Racing (which increasingly seems inevitable).

Well Clare is freelance now I believe (she has done stuff for other broadcasters - like Famous and Fearless for C4) - so let's hope that if she does go to C4 Racing she does it non-exclusively and is still able to work for the BBC on TV (and Radio).

She's one of the best live broadcasters the BBC have.

I will guarantee that Clare will not completely leave the BBC. She does a lot of stuff for Radio 4 and will not want to give that up. She is one of the BBC's big names, and that goes far beyond horse racing.

Plus I still see Clare as the future host of Question of Sport when Sue Barker retires.

Fearne Cotton is fighting back against the complainers on Twitter, calling her detractors "bullies".

I agree with another post on here, I think the pageant would have been covered far better if it was a BBC News production.

or even BBC Sport - it had much in common with how they cover the London Marathon.

Really? I think Logan, or Murray are more likely contenders. Although Balding has become a panel show regular. I think it's just as likely to end altogether though.

At the end of the day it's not her fault. Neither her style of presenting nor the dire material she was given was suitable for the Jubilee programming so the production team are at fault. The only thing she should have been involved in is maybe behind the scenes at the concert, or covering the events for Radio 1 or something.

Makes you wonder what the point of the BBC's Audience Councils are - they were asked for comments on the Royal Wedding coverage and several regions minuted negative points about Fearne Cotton's contribution. It would appear that lessons weren't learned.

Well it seems Points Of View have had nobody willing to speak on camera about the Pageant but just a "BBC Spokesman said..." caption.
