Prince Charles is the best presenter they've had on all evening.

I do wonder if he is trying to get a presenting job. First he did the weather, then that You've Been Framed clone on Friday night and now this. I think he would be a good stand-in for Chris Evans on The One Show.

Talking of Chris Evans, we heard him speaking in the background during the BBC News headlines earlier but he doesn't seem to have made an appearance on air, either on the concert or during The One Show. Was he just the warm up act?

Looks like Her Majesty only has 5 seconds in The Crystal Dome. Shame.

He was doing Radio 2 at that point.

Good practice for the BBC's pending olympics coverage me thinks.

The BBC's coverage has been superb (and Sky's on the mall).

Hats off to the BBC teams doing the BBC1 coverage... no other broadcaster in the world could have covered it as well as that... well done BBC.

Unbelievable . Kay is kissing, singing, dancing and of course laughing with the crowd on the mall. I've never seen her like this before. She's turning mad there.. Smile

Shame the BBC "spoiled" the fireworks by having Huw talk over both the start and end and then show credits over the best bit.

Other than that, a good production. Although I'm disappointed that we didn't have more cutaways to Fearne Cotton and Anneka Rice.

I wonder what the reporters at the various beacon lighting events think of Sky News sticking with Burley. They haven't really been used as much as they would be on a normal evening. I really think the beacons should have been lit on another evening.

I've never seen her like this before.

You're saying that as if you're a close family friend.

We should all email Sky News to let Kay know that we did enjoy it...

That was a bit odd, almost as if the satelite link was about to run out. I'd have thought Huw would have ended the coverage in his studio rather than rushing it like he was double parked.

I disagree. Huw stopped talking as the fireworks began and the ending was done respectfully.

And Kay's just wrapped it for Sky.

"Thanks for watching Sky. We hope you enjoyed it."
