Looks as though we will be having Mishal Husain covering the LIVE output for BBC World. She has appeared LIVE from Buckingham Palace today during all of the regular news bulletins.

Sky News have also been running some nice graphics today, advertising their weekend coverage.

Skynews just showed a very nice ident of the diamond jubilee.

ITV to be commercial-free throughout. So will definitely be my choice. Were SO much better for the Royal Wedding.

I wish ITV were doing the boat pageant on Sunday as well. It's on BBC and Sky, so I guess the BBC will be the lesser of the two evils - but for me that is definitely the event of the weekend as we've all seen carriage parades and big pop concerts before.

Huw Edwards gave an introduction at 8pm about the weekends events and the introduced tonight's documentary. He seems to be in same studio as used for the wedding last year.

Lets hope he doesn't constantly look at the monitor like he did at the wedding. I too will be watching ITV for the simple reason I want to see Mark Austin get drunk on champagne!

Yes, a bit of in-vision continuity on BBC1!

He does that when just reading the news so not much hope there

The Prince Charles fronted documentary on BBC1 tonight was really good, it had some amazing archive footage. Well worth a watch if you missed it

I hadn't realised they would't be - they're rather well-placed to cover it!

In a curious twist of fate, I'll be watching it from their staff restaurant's roof terrace.

Sky News has had some good coverage since yesterday. Today they've been presenting from Buckingham Palace, i think including other news being read from there.

I am, watching the Sky News coverage, currently being led by Colin Brazier at Buckingham Palace. The weather looks a bit chilly. Pity.

However, Colin Brazier is quite good on location, I feel.

Lorna Dunkley in full races regalia is at Epsom.

I flicked over from BBC World just to take a peek. It's times like this when overseas viewers get really nostalgic and eager for all things Royal! Alas, World has been fairly tame in it's coverage so far. Not surprisingly, however. A bit more news around today!

Mishal Husain announced that she will be anchoring from a barge tomorrow.
