The montage with Queen footage and Beautiful Day music behind including the shots of Buckingham Palace with projections on it was amazing.

Are they running ahead of schedule? Don't mind, more Rolf can only be good news, and he's just burst into laughter!

The helicopter shot through the London Eye to the Palace was lovely.

Seems a waste to have all these beacons being lit while the concert is on. I'm sure it would have made a nice 30 - 60 minute programme for BBC One if it was done at another time.

The Queen looks glum.

Coming from a foreigner, this may be politically incorrect to say, but the Queen has always struck me as as somewhat "un-British" by taking herself so seriously and seeming to lack a sense of self-deprecating humor.

I've reported this post.

Madness on the BBC News channel, who'd have thought it! Will Jon Sopel and Emily Maitlis make an appearance dancing on the roof!

Edit, they've also now removed the Astonage.

Some good lighting/projections onto the palace at the moment, like what Illuminate York does each year on buildings.
