quite true and why should they get more attention when there is a theory that they are resposable for all of this.
And have you noticed that every time it calms down the mcanns or one of there mates tries to roar the media back up again Rolling Eyes

Anyone else think this story is reported on too often - what about other children who go missing during the year [and I don't mean every single one should be reported on].

The public gets what the public wants.

Unfortunately there is a large percentage of the public who are obsessive about this story. Therefore it would be nuts for the papers to ignore it.

The interesting thing is, even with the hysteria over Diana, when The Mirror tried to run it into a third week the sales fell off a cliff as people were bored with it. (It's in Piers Morgan's book, in case you're wondering)

This one doesn't seem to have any natural end, and could go on forever by the looks of things.

Is it April 1st? No, December 22nd.

And this 'story' is third on BBC News.

It does, however, seem to have been a fairly slow news day, the top story was about a man (albeit the former PM) converting to catholicism.

I can think of hundreds of more significant news stories than the McCannCanns (copyright TVN, 2007). What a joke. As others have said, there are hundreds of people who actually bothered to take care of their relatives who wont be able to spend christmas with them this year.

The worrying thing is, most of these bandwagon people are very closed minded. As soon as you try pointing all of this out to them, they start twittering on about how you don't have a heart - well no dear, it's not as though you will actually be upset when she is found dead, is it?

I think a lot of those people will be upset though. If she were to be found dead, we will probably have a massive outpouring of public "grief". Whether that would be OTT and cloying, I shall leave you all to decide Wink

Surely even the most loyal of Daily Mail readers must now be questioning her parents now the news of "Madeline - the Movie" has broken, all of course to raise money for the Madeline Fund.

Absolutely sickening.
