ITV News has just started. Very much a pro-McCann bias.

I see the McCanns have pleaded for privacy. Isn't it odd that they want privacy now? I didn't see them complaining when the media was following them about in Portugal after Madeleine's disappearance.

They don't deserve privacy. They have dictated to the media (and us) enough over their sick need to try and ease their guilty consciences (for simply leaving the kids alone in that room, if nothing else). They created this publicity monster and they should have to live with it. We all have had to live with it since May whether we like it or not. Yes, I'm sorry that there's a little girl missing, but how many other children have gone missing in the meantime? Where are all the slick publicity campaigns for those poor little sods?

I'm sorry, but in my eyes the McCanns have no right to turn round and moan that they don't like "media intrusion" just because it doesn't happen to suit them and their needs any more. And quite frankly, they are idiots if they thought that they wouldn't get any negativity towards them. Not that the mostly fawning British media is much of a problem there. I think it's disgusting, the level of bias that has been displayed over the past few days, from all broadcasting outlets.

I feel so sorry for those poor twins. Cameras shoved in their faces. The photographers have no respect, do they?

If you get the media's attention, you keep their attention. That's the way it works. You can't just turn them off when it gets a bit much.

Where there is no obvious public interest, or the privacy of children or anyone who is not involved is being compromised I believe there should be the legal right to have journalists/photographers removed from one's property. The problem here is the interest in the McCanns is legitimate but what have their children done?

I feel sorry for those poor twins because of the parents they have. They should give them to Philomena.

I don't like the Louise Woodward-esque coverage we're getting here. I'm not making a judgment on whether the McCanns are actually guilty, but we shouldn't be getting the one-sided coverage we are.

And BBC World needs to stop seeing Britain as the centre of the universe. I remember watching it in Tunisia and wondering why the hell anyone outwith the UK would care about half the stories.

It doesn't. It reports UK stories just as any other country. For instance, I'm currently watching BBC World and the bulletin's top headlines are Pakistan, Guatemala, then McCanns. In fact, as we speak they're doing news in brief and haven't even reached the McCanns yet.

The twins got cameras shoved up their noses because their parents deliberately carried them into the shot.

Now why would they do that, I wonder?

There's something continually fishy about this whole thing. You can bet your life tomorrow's ITV Evening News will lead with this and how the McCann's are having to rebuild their lives. I.e.. 'Flowers for Home'.."Looking tired and exhausted..Kate McCann answers her door to a family friend carrying a bunch of Maddy's favourite flowers this morning..blah..blah.."

Its unbelieveable isn't it? As soon as the finger's pointed at them, they decide to fly home and don't want anymore media intrusion. If that doesn't say anything, then I am the Pope. Rolling Eyes
