Surely they've got a team there by now?

I would imagine if there's nothing set in stone about it, that UTV may be frowned upon by the ITV network for not taking ITN programming, especially if it's a "news special".

Perhaps they don't want to make the mistake of the time they crashed into GMTV's broadcasting time - though to be honest, I wish they would do it more often now...

Alison Mackenzie is from one of the ITV regional news programmes, Central possibly?

Wow, watching the report on Sky about everything that happened last few months, thier European tour, baloons, posters, even Kate & Gerry talking about how Brian Adams allowed them to use his song, WTF.
If this turns out to be true then they really done it good. Making the whole world be part of their big lie.

Probably media jostiling. Theres a pack of wolves i wouldn't want to be among.

I shall reserve judgement for now, but from the beginning something stunk about Madeleines disappearance. The McCanns should have been probed further at the beginning of this case.

There's always been a rule that all ITN bulletins must be taken live by all the regions. This probably goes for non-scheduled programmes too

What are rules in today's ITV? UTV may have special dispensation to opt out where local output would otherwise be compromised.

Exactly - it is not the same as being labelled a suspect here, something which seems to have been forgotten in the new rush of mass hysteria.

At least most of you only have to put up with this nonsense on a national level. I have just seen the most ridiculously biased, sugar coated piece of 'reporting' on this fricking story courtesy of East Midlands Today.

The conversation on the BBC Six suggested while Mrs McCann is a suspect, there are no plans to make Mr McCann one.

Gets more confusing doesn't it?
