The whole thing still stinks, even if the speculation turns out to be the case.

Why would anyone, having accidentally killed and then disposed of a young child in a panic, then spend the best part of six months appealing for her to be found?
.

er, to cover up the death and concealment of the body.... especially if the accidental death was related to medical malpractice (sedation for example)

Of course they wouldn't have aimed for 6 months of appeals, but these things tend to roll out of control, especially once it gets taken out of their control and into the hands of their family and the media. They could hardly start a campaign like this and then 1 month later suddenly stop!

Wow, this really is turning out to be judge, jury and executioner.

The early part of this thread was spent defending Robert Murat, now it's open season on the McCanns.

Whoever is the cameraman in Portugal at the moment with Jane Hill must be drunk, constantly wobbling and moving whilst Janes is doing a PTC...

What if Madeleine just went for a walk while left unsupervised, got lost and is now being raised by a herd of Portuguese cattle?

Whenever i see Madeleine McCann's aunt on the tv she always say they know she taken as one of the friends saw someone carrying her away yet the McCanns and the media seem to downplay or not mention it at all. It seems bizarre that the Aunt keeps mentioning it

Well I've always said on various forums something wasn't right, looking at the parents of Rhys Jones and how they've reacted to how the McCanns did - being media darlings, grinning smiling - acting not far off like film stars at times, it did make a lot of people wonder about the concern shown. It was only after some press abroad started to question the all smiling happy couple that the tears and woe started to appear.

How long before the Express says it suspected the parents all along?

Interesting comment there by the editor of a Portugese newspaper.

She seems to think that all the press there said much the same thing, about the police considering the parents potential suspects. The paper the McCanns went after is a weaker paper (so presumably would be more likely to back down without a fight).

If that is so, this is one more instance of apparent cynical behaviour by the parents' advisors.

I knew they were guilty, or had something to do with it. 'Nuff Said.

Nobody has been charged. Nor has a case been tested in a court of law.

Well I have the IQ of a turnip too then, and so do a lot of people it seems looking at blogs and many forums.
