The Express are still running with it today, the daily headline "Madeline: .....", even after the Mcann's have asked the press to stop reporting non-stories everyday

Also the family and friends of the boy from Liverpool must be seriously offended

Hmmm, guess what's on the cover of the Di-ly Obsess today?

Whilst I don't think it warrants front page I wouldn't call it a 'non-story', compared to some of the stuff reported which has been based mostly on speculation and (unofficial) leaks. By comparison this is an article on something that is confirmed to have happened.

In a way I don't think the press should stop reporting 'non-stories' just because the McCanns don't want them to, as they were more than keen for the press to give maximum coverage in the past. Nobody should be able to control the media and what they report, though inevitably some try their best to. I noticed that on Breakfast they conveniently didn't show the Express when going through the papers, or at least around 7am, could be pure coincidence though.

...and little surprise that Diana is in the paper today, though they still manage to get Madeline on the front page in a small piece.

From the Mail...
"Madeleine: Pupils at her school save a seat for the missing four-year-old"

Interestingly by comparison the BBC is covering the story that the parents are to file for defamation against last week's Portuguese paper headline, though not as their main story.

Their report seemed carefully worded, presumably baring in mind that the McCann lawyer might be watching it. Though I'm bored of seeing Madeline get the front page of papers / main headline, I'm glad the BBC ran with the lawsuit story than going with the 'school seat' story, which is a non-story in my view.

The Portugese paper didn't 'claim' that the McCanns killed their daughter. The paper claimed that the Police were investigating the possibility that the McCanns might have killed their daughter.

The latest Private Eye prints images of all the Express front pages along with a story elsewhere that Madeleine may have been "abducted by aliens."

After 11 hours, Sky News reporting "Kate McCann has just left the Portuguese Police station".

Hmmm.

According to a BBC News popup that's appeared on my screen earlier a family spokesman has said that Kate McCann has been told that she is going to be named as a suspect in Madeline's disappearance.

After Jeremy Kyle but before This Morning they went to a news report to report this. Does that normally happen?

The mid-morning ITV News Summary usually airs at 11.10, so they aired a short one before This Morning as you say, to inform viewers as soon as possible. The 11.10 bulletin will still be broadcast as usual.
