I don't think race has anything to do with it. Because there are tons of respectable middle class docs and surgeons of all race. It is definately a class thing. If Maddie had been black or Asian from the same class and her disappearance under similar circumstances there would be similar publicity.
I'm with the if it was the you or i from a working class background we'd be stoned in the streets for negligance. Regardless of race.

I really agree with this point. It wouldn't be the same if it was a single parent on benefits from some a rundown block of flats. Its the fact that they are quite wealthy and GP's. I'm quite suprised its still in the public eye after so many weeks, its a terrible thing, but without blaming the parents for this, these children should have never been left alone, thats just my opinion on it.

And it's not just posters they're selling - they're now selling wristbands described as 'good quality wristbands to keep reminding you about Madeleine'. They also have the police phone number so just in case you see Maddie (in the centre of bloomin' London) then you can tell them where she is.
But in all honesty, what is the chance that Maddie is in Britain at this moment? Virtually nil. So why are they selling wristbands?
