You are right to worry about the law Jonathan. Defamation in any of its guises is actionable. If anyone here makes a contentious claim a court will require them to provide proof as a defence. Innuendo is equally frowned up. And as for using the word "allegedly" - well, to utter it believing it offers any kind of protection verges on the cretinous.

Stir things up? How double dare you? Let me get serious for a bit - there are other, less well modded forums than this, but that's not to say TV Forum is free of plonkers. The McCanns (or anyone else who feels they've been unfairly treated) may choose to sue any website like this if they feel they need to make an example. Who's to say it won't be little old us?

Shocked Laughing Actually my questions were serious ones in my last post! I wasn't trying to imply that doctors were dodgy in anyway, therefore the parents did it-- innocent until proven guilty and all that
