I assume Team-McCann will be temporarily relocating to Malta now to take advantage of any impromtu hospitality and media attention during this latest search.

After all, Portugal must be getting mundane now. You know what it's like once you've sampled all the restaurants when on holiday - it's time to try somewhere new. Shocked

I think T-McG need a holiday, we should all ring up and claim multiple sightings in other exotic holiday locations. Rolling Eyes

I think their campaign ought to use the Status Quo track "Rockin' All Over The World". Very Happy

It would be interesting to see what you would do if your child had gone missing on holiday.

All this crap about wanting media attention for themselves is complete rubbish - the McCann's are just extremely desperate to get their child back. As would anyone else who lost their kid.

According to this morning's news on Radio 2, the McCanns' spokesperson has said that they are not concentrating on the five reported sightings of Madeleine and are instead concentrating on publicising her disappearance.

Mmmm....I wouldn't have left the child unattended in the first place (as has been said by many - that is actually illegal in this country, although apparently not in Portugal).

Indeed the McCanns' are desperate given their dimishing world media role.

It just appears that the return of their child is only one item on their agenda:

Arrow Self-publicity
Arrow Further abandonment of their remaining children
Arrow Interviews in "Hello" magazine
Arrow Foreign travel
Arrow Extended holidays

also seem to feature heavily on it. This must be the first time distraught parents have been so "media savvy".

I blame the media. I understand the Mccanns wanting to keep her in the public eye, but we the public don't need to informed on every little detail of the case. It's abit like the 24hr live coverage of iraq war. Talk about letting your enemy know where you are or that you're onto them.

I'm still with the Yanky milk carton idea.

I was watching British Eurosport yesterday and saw an advert appealing for the return of Madeleine - must have cost a few bob from the fund?

There's light at the end of the tunnel, journos might be going cold-turkey from Madeleinemania Wink No Madeleine story on Central News East or BBC EMT <"fainting out of sheer amazement" emoticon>.

Obviously the flloding has caused enough damage and misery today, not to warrant a soapbox speech from Rothley War Memorial.

WHERE HAS THE MADDY STORY GONE

This story of global impact seems to have been replaced by inconsequential TV and Newspaper reports about UK deaths from flooding, economic news and some bloke moving into the house next door (even though he actually has lived in the flat above it for ten years - his mate lived above number eleven/twelve anyway)

I'm going to start a Worldwide Campaign to search for this story. It's gone missing and I am desperatly worried now.

I'm starting in Japan next week (cos I think it was recently reported there and I've always wanted to visit the country). Donations please for my world trip.

I'm just wondering what the point of your post was - if any - since there has been no news on Maddy? We know there hasn't; so please go away.

Just as someone spoke too soon.............

2 arrests in Spain.

Mary Nightingale there for ITV news, must be pot luck she is there, unless she was sent to do a special report. You can be sure she'll be live at 10.30 if things develop.

So they've finally arrested them for neglecting their child then? Rolling Eyes
