Wonder where the pain will take her next. Hawaii perhaps?

I've seen that bloody image so many times now that that girl is starting to look a little sinister to me.

Apparantly a petition has been signed by nearly 2000 people calling for authorities to investigate the parents for leaving their children home alone.

Of course, the media are outraged at the insensitiveness of this...

Meanwhile, the McGanns are coming home to interview people for the position of "Campaign Manager"

Five have bought the rights to this and will be turning it into an Apprentice style show. Viewers will be able to vote for their favourite candidate by pressing the red button or calling a premium-rate phone line. Former GMTV weatherman, Simon Biagi, is rumoured to have been approached to present the main show, with a spin-off on Five Life hosted by former The Word presenter, Huffty. Probably.

I thought Brekkie was joking - obviously not.

This is sick!
Get these people off the TV and into a Police Station where they should be - explaining how Maddy came to be abandoned in the first place!

Er... sorry, I was the one joking actually. I thought a reference to Huffty from The Word made it obvious, but in this media circus perhaps I should have known better.

Just saw an advert for the Algarve. Fantastic holiday destination apparently - free long-term child care and free excursions around the Med.

Breaking news on N24 - a letter was sent to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraph (sp?) stating where Madeliene can allegedly be found. The police haven't validated it yet

Surely they should follow up this information before telling the media!?

Yes, but Der Telegraaf says that she is buried 9 miles from where she was snatched, only a few metres from the roadside.

The Police did a good search of the local area then! Shocked

The same newspaper received another letter similar to the one revealing Madeleine's whereabouts last year apparently... revealing where two Belgian girls' bodies were buried. The information was correct and they were found.

Surprisingly, BBC World beat News 24 and other broadcasters in breaking this news - Lucy Hockings read details of it at about 2.20pm. I wonder if the BBC has slackened its policy on breaking news without validation?
