An idea for Tesco to latch onto..

They already did.

There was a picture of bloomin' Maddy on the end of all the Tesco home delivery invoices for a couple of weeks.

We certainly got her flamin' face staring out at us on Wednesday 23rd and Wednesday 30th May.

Yet another reason why 'er indoors and I are sick to death of the soddin' story.

There was also a report on Ceefax a few days back about the McCanns asking J K Rowling to put a picture on bookmarks in all copies of the new Harry Potter book.

I just hope J K has the common sense not to get involved in that particular bandwagon.

And the latest request? They want Google to superimpose her eyes over the logo. Will Google do it? I think so imagine the headlines if they don't "Evil Google doesn't care about our Maddy". This has turned into a joke and the parents must realize that we passed saturation point several weeks ago.

Yeh, I don't know. You just DON'T leave a three year old child in an unlocked hotel room and pop out for dinner. The McCanns don't really deserve the appeal they are getting for their irresponsibility. It's almost like running over a baby and demanding compensation for the trauma.

Yes I would never leave my children alone anywhere, you cant trust anyone these days!

Don't forget that in a few years time they'll demand a movie be made.

From BBC News today:

BBC posted:
The parents of missing Madeleine McCann say they will spend the coming week reviewing the campaign to find her and allowing themselves time to grieve.

The couple have travelled across Europe in an effort to find Madeleine, four, who went missing in Portugal on 3 May.

So they now accept the possibility she is more than likely dead (very sad) but won't end their holiday - just yet. Best to "grieve" in a nice environment.

"Travelled to find her" Confused: - a simple telephone call to the Vatican and the British Ambassador's residence in Berlin could have confirmed that Maddy wasn't hiding there. No need for a personal visit and an article in "Hello" . Unless "Hello" is now the preferred magazine of choice for paedophiles, which is an image I'm sure the publishers didn't intend.

They'll be doing programmes for Sky Travel or BBC's Holiday programme next (of course just so they can look for Maddy)

Call me cynical, but isn't it yet another strange coincidence that they've decided to 'take a break to grieve' now, just when the rumblings of a backlash are really beginning to surface?

Oh absolutely, I think that's the reason they have chosen to retreat. The McCann's made one final (outrageous) demand today, and begged Google to superimpose Madeleine's eyes onto the Google logo worldwide...

There are thousands of other missing kids out there - should Google superimpose their eyes over its logo?

No disrespect to Maddie or her family, but this is being blown out of all proportion, and all this media attention has probably made her kidnapper more desperate to flee. Goodness knows what he or she might have done to Maddie knowing that the world was now after them.

Oh, that's funny, that's made me laugh. But as you say, it's outrageous. I haven't watched the news in the past few weeks really, but when I read stuff like that on here and in other places, it really seems much more surreal than the last time I heard things about this story.

Using her eyes is like using them as a brand - almost as despicable as the way terrorist events are given a catchy slogan such as 9/11, 7/7.
