I am very Surprised in fact of this strange television coverage that lasted for hours on major news stations in the UK , I appreciate the suffering of the child's parents Kidnabbed but that does not allow news channels to pay all these teams of reporters and broadcasters to Portugal, and where parents of the girl to go .. I do not think that it needs all of this, it's value is worthy of a news story in one news bulletin .. Especially Sky News Coverage I very surprising since the start of that coverage , they take extremely locally socially dimension in coverage .. I think that there are many other issues that deserve attention and a higher coverage ..

I could tell what his post said, it only took a second more to insert a few spelling corrections, but I wasted 5 secs reading your post. It's pretty obvious when people have bad spelling on the forum - why do we need to flag it up every 5 mins? Just ignore it and cope, Stu.

I hope it was a BP garage, as their green and yellow branding would tie in perfectly with the official Find Madeleine ribbon colours, as seen in Kate McCann's hair. Perhaps BP could become the official sponsor. Free ribbons with every £20 of fuel purchased.

...add to that, special BP "Find Maddy" Car stickers and air fresheners. And tokens to collect in News Of The World for a "Find Maddy BP Teddy bear". *

Germany and the Netherlands is up next on the world tour.

Do they seriously think while they are walking down the streets and making the most of the hospitality they are receiving, whilst gradually forgetting about their other children the girl is going to just walk up to them?????

Either stay in Portugal or go back to work like the rest of us.

No-one has said that she is sad,
No-one has said that she is boring (well Nick did, but valid in the context of his post)
No-one has said that she is a waste of space

People are making very valid comments on the media coverage and the actions of her parents, they are not commenting on the girl herself, who of course has not been involved in any of the nonsense that's occurred after she disappeared

Don't waste your breath Inspector, the poster probably didn't hang around to see the responses, after all he/she hadn't read the posts properly in the first place.

What's being said throughout this thread is that it's sad that the media can hype and inflate a situation beyond belief. If anyone sees that as uncaring for the ordeal of the child involved then so be it, but the point of the argument remains intact and valid.

Today there are renewed concerns that the media intervention may have panicked the alleged abducter, resulting in possible dire consequences. Will the media report their responsibility when this is all over? I doubt it.
