Ooh, the mention of Elton John has strangely made me realise the next inevitable step in this tabloid-driven frenzy of faux-misery.

You mark my words, A Concert For Madeline™ is surely only a matter of a few weeks away. Of course it'll be complete with a load of has-beens who desperately need the exposure to revive their music careers pretending they're really upset, but secretly loving the chance to get on the telly again.

That's just giving them ideas now, sad thing is there'd be enough backing for it to occur, sobering that.

Nah, Italy is only a few countries away... they will easily know what is going on.

If one of your children had been abducted would you let your other two out of your sight?

Something stinks here, I think the parents, particularly the father, know a lot more than they are letting on.

Obviously meeting a former Nazi is higher on their priorities.

Glad to see we have some kind-hearted people on this forum.

Her child's lost, for crying out loud. She's hardly going to look like Carole Smilie. Rolling Eyes

No. And I certainly wouldn't leave the other two in the place where the first one went missing. If the McCanns want to go swanning off on a world tour, they should send those other two kids back home.

I'm starting to come round to that way of thinking. All this posturing in front of the media and flying to see the Pope on a private jet seems rather self-indulgent. It seems to have very little to do with finding Madeleine and a great deal to do with making themselves feel better.

I agree, something really fishy is going on. I cannot believe this is headline news yet again that the McCann's have HAD to go and see the Pope and HAD to leave their children behind.

What next? An appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross or The Paul O'Grady show? Rolling Eyes

What gets me is that the Dad (don't know his name) looks like he's just had his hair cut.

It's very neat and tidy considering that they were on holiday and it's now been a month she she disappeared.

I didn't notice it.... girlfriend did, but she has a point!

I agree, and I have thought so for some time. Even the story of the initial abduction does not add up.

I think the father certainly, and possibly the mother, have some evidence that they are not giving to the police.
