Thanks. That helps a bit, but it's not comprehensive at all. And an alphabetical listing would be so much quicker. As would a search facility.

IMO- Lyse is not one of the best reporters at the BBC

... or anywhere else. Few people are so genuine in front of the camera, and even her comments about herself in that Guardian article really ring true.

Lyse is a fabulous on-the-spot anchor for Breaking News. BBC World does not have anyone else anywhere near as good. (save perhaps Zeinab Badawi.)

Nik Gowing and Nisha Pillai (previous golden children) have been around for too long and come across as a bit uppity now, not to mention stale.

Carry on Lyse.

In my opinion I beleive Adrian Finighan is best to Break the news on the and a great example of this was when he broke the news of the Asian Tsunami

Nice surprise to see Lyse turn up and do a Sunday shift on World this weekend. Excellent presenter for news.

Not sure how you hear Irish in Lyse's accent. AIUI she's from Newfoundland in Canada, which has quite a distinctive accent of its own.

There are isolated fishing vilages in newfoundland settled centuries ago by irish emigrants whose descendants accents have barely changed. I saw craig doyle talking to one on 'holiday' a couple of years ago. its uncanny!
