Louise Minchin

Poor old Louise had a major coughing fit just before 6 O Clock, she walked off the set but could be heard coughing in the distance, and then appeared again a few minutes later for the TOTH, and her eyes are still streaming and mascara is running down her face!

Very funny!

She's given up and gone, Tim Willcox was on his own from about 10 past 6 for the last 50 minutes

Yeah very funny - I am sure you would be wetting yourself in that situation. Reading the news live is nothing - ehh - pratt!!!

I remember years ago when Peter Sissons had a very bad asthma attack during the 9 O'Clock News. There was no 2nd Presenter, so he had to battle on for a few stories until someone found his inhailer from the Newsroom.

I recall many years ago also, Peter had problems at the top of one of the BBC Six Oclock bulletins. Again, he was unable to perfectly deliver the top story after the bongs, but he battled through it like a true pro. The next two stories in succession were taken by the co-presenter alongside (Moira), with Peter not appearing until the 4th story, by which time it was almost time for the bumper in the middle. (Where Moira would say without fail, "The Heaaaaaaadlines tonight......" in that ever so deep and silky fashion that only Moira can muster..........
