New presenter schedule, as said in the News 24 thread. Matthew is now doing 1300-1600 with Maxine Mawhinney and Jane the 1900-2230 slot with Chris Eakin (so says the thread).

I'll always remember Louise doing N24 after quite a long stint on Radio 5 Live. She went into auto pilot mode when saying what channel you were watching before a Headlines sequence - Louise proudly announced "You're watching BBC News 25... err, I mean News 24 (giggle giggle)".

Louise was co-presenting with Chris Eakin at the time IIRC. It ended up on Aunties Bloomers I think.

Yes, I've seen that on Aunties Bloomers a few times, and it may have also been featured on Outtake TV recently. It's a good cock-up! I like what Chris said after it..."Cor, an extra hour!"

I'm guessing that someone had placed it on the autocue as a practical joke to see if they'd pick up on the mistake.

Welcome back Louise...I missed you luv. However, I hope Kate does not disappear. Not so sure about Jane Hill any more. She seems to draw daggers at Matthew now.

As for cocking up a bulletin...well it is good to see how they handle it. I remember Becky Hunter at STV said s*** just as the closing caption gradually appeared on screen. The Scottish press laid into her big time. Poor wee lassie!! Laughing

No it wasn't - they wouldn't do something like that to spoil their own output. She was tired and just happened to say News 25 instead of 24. After all, she'd been on Five Live for a long time, as Techy Peep said.
