Hmm - wonder if that really means the power to the CCUs (the boxes that control and feed power to the cameras - they aren't entirely self-contained) was lost - or if they are running with a single Master Control Panel that went hay-wire...

I take it we're talking about the 1830 edition?

Were the 1800 and 1815 headline inserts as normal? If not, were they done from the dimly lit newsroom, or did NE&C take the London headlines?

It is my understanding that most/all BBC Regions' 1800 and 1815 headline inserts are pre-recorded shortly before 1800 (is this correct?), which would mean that the technical problems could have come about at any time between 1800 - 1830.

She always has a joke at the end of Look North, but they are usually quite cheesy.
