The music they're using is the usual closing theme for the regions.
Clicky.
They've used a mish-mash of the Wales Today old headline bed, Leeds closing titles, old "BBC NE & Cumbria" headline strap, new LN astons, and old/new LN set.
I like the set, but I'm sorry, it all just conflicts too much! They need to get it sorted out.

BBC Midlands had it for like 2 days, and then changed to 1999 nations

That sting is rather strong for the headline beds!
I like the variation of the music! A bit creative nice pictures as well of the metro and other parts of the region!
Carol i don't find to be that warm of a presenter she didn't even say welcome to the programme tonight or say good evening to out New Look for the programme!?

I noticed the BBc goes straight into the regions news now like with lunchtime at 6 30 now!
It doesn't do the break, it seems to go straight into the progrmme. I don't like that as some regions don't seem prepared for it and makes their welcome to the programme cut short. Except Midlands Today they did the whole hello and then did the headlines then titles.!!
I do like the new set but like said there was no reason to pull down the whole set its the same just with new colour and a new tv screen
I liked the sofa area very warm and welcoming.
Now the BBC transformation is complete.!!!!! Finally

Why don't you re-write that in English please.
I believe morgaineofevil is genuinely dyslexic.
I think what morgaine is saying is, that Carol didn't mention "new look" or even say "welcome" at 18.30. (Is that the case?)

Why are NE&C's titles 25%* longer (*or whatever) than any other other BBC Eng region's titles?
Is it because so little happens in their patch (especially Cumbria!) that even the titles have to act as "padding"?

No. There are 2 ITV News services and a sub-opt for Tyne Tees South, and those programmes manage to find enough news on most occasions. However, Look North tend to gloss over News stories, and prefer to focus on feature and Sports stories.
