Look North NE&C relaunches

Still in the CSO this morning.

And amusingly still using the old-style weather graphics for the summaries. Whoops.

Which, I seem to recall, the forum as a whole applauded at the relaunch.

You don't have to change everything to make a major difference to a set and the programme using it.

It looks very similar to the old set, but with a lot more red in it. The desk is the same, except the glass top has been replaced with the frosted grey top, like on the national news desk. The weather screen looks a lot smaller than the previous one, but I think thats because it doesn't have a frame around it.

It has adopted the LN (Leeds) astons, titles and theme.

On my first impressions it looks much more modern, yes not many changes but at lest they've taken away that awful small tv screen away, i never liked those they always looked so out of place, a much more natutal built in screen looks much better! it looks more professional than before and the camer positioning is also better so that people can actually see the person where they do a live report.
Nice to seer they have got rid of those awful old fashioned titles as well, they now at least are similar to the other look norths of the region.The presenter does not block the images on the screen too.

They're definitely an improvement on the old ones; quite similar to the blue 1997 titles [ tvark ] although not quite as fab.

The music is slightly different. It's a longer edit of the LN Leeds music, but the end is the same. I think it sounds better.

I'd forgotten how good the 97 blue titles were...

New titles are quite nice, a show the NE&C off quite well, if a bit slow paced compared to the music. New set OK but was it realy necessary to rip the whole old one out as its just the same with a bit more white. The desk doesn't work they need one similar to the National one to fit in.

I do like those titles, nice pick of areas.... golf course behind my friends house in Seascale, bridge I walked across millions of times whilst in Durham...! Much better than random girls walking across beach

That sting is rather strong for the headline beds!
I like the variation of the music! A bit creative nice pictures as well of the metro and other parts of the region!
Carol i don't find to be that warm of a presenter she didn't even say welcome to the programme tonight or say good evening to out New Look for the programme!?
