Lucy Meacock has now presented Granada Reports since 1989. I know Fred Dineage has been on Meridian for many years and Bob Warman was on Central for many years.
Is Lucy the longest serving female presenter on regional news and possibly on all UK news programmes and also for presenters in general; is she near top of the list for long service?

Jackie Bird started with Reporting Scotland also in 1989.
If you include retired presenters, Mike Neville is probably the longest serving overall, with over 40 years at Look North Newcastle and Tyne Tees combined, 32 at Look North.

Bob has been with Central/ATV since 1973 (minus a brief tenure at YTV). Fred has been with Meridian/TVS/Southern since 1964 (again minus a brief tenure at YTV).
Lucy and Jackie might be the longest serving current female presenters. The likes of Kay Alexander who retired a few years back on Midlands Today had nearly another ten years on the both of them.

There's also Pam Royle, who's been presenting news bulletins since around 1988 - first at LWT News, then for Tyne Tees since 1989.
Also Rose Neill, who's been reading news bulletins since 1980 on UTV, then BBC Northern Ireland, and back again at UTV - she began anchoring main bulletins c.1985/6.
Talking about long servers - I wonder which duo are the longest serving regional partnership - Stewart and Susie of Look East at 20 years?
Tony Morris and Lucy Meacock this month reached 13 years of presenting Granada Reports together. Please correct me; but I think this is the longest serving partnership for Granada.
I raised the question about Lucy initially because I was interested how many others have done a continuous role for so long?
It has also been good to see Lucy doing ITV News at the weekends although that has not happened for a while.
As for Fred Dineage; he has a fantastic record and long may that continue.
John Humphrys - 1981 (if you consider "Today" to be a "news" programme)
Moira - 1981 (albeit the last few years on radio, but still news casting nonetheless)
Nicholas Owen - 1982
Mike Embley - 1986
I cite the above because the OP mentioned "presenters in general", not only specifying regional and television.
