Swearing during an eyewitness account badly managed by Vic Derbyshire.

I disagree that was badly managed and quite impressed when he used the f-word she didn't issue a quick apology and cut him off and that will have been a conscious decision too. Yes he swore but it was editorially justified.

Indeed. If the broadcasters want to capture real people, in real life, in a real street that's what can happen
I'm afraid.

Ouch - the 'F' word from some chavvy type - There seems to be quite a few younger types seem to be competing to get themselves on the telly.

Could you sound any more snobbish and condescending towards a young man at the scene of an unimaginably horrific disaster who, like many there, is understandably upset and angry? 'Younger types'? 'Chavvy'? Seriously - are you for real?

So he swore on TV. Hardly the worst thing to have happened there today is it?

I agree, Spencer. I watched this interview live and didn't particularly notice the swearing. The guy was clearly upset and also annoyed. I doubt many people could genuinely claim to have been offended under the circumstances.
tmorgan96, Rory and Spencer gave kudos

I'm sure they will complain though but I'm sure such complaints won't be upheld.

If they were offended, and do complain, they really do need evaluate their own values.

I don't think it's been an entirely good day for GMB, BBC and Sky in the way they've dealt with this story initially. Derbyshire's misery porn delivery doesn't suit breaking news, GMB's zooming in on a trapped resident and general Piers Moron and Sky's Mark White making an inappropriate joke to a child, although the latter isn't as bad and Sky have overall stuck to reporting the facts.

Multicultural London English is the standard dialect used in that part of London, so should be expected from eyewitnesses.

Apologies for the following SD-only Captures Crying or Very sad

Here is the 7am TOTH from BBC Breakfast, which although introduced itself as "BBC News" owing to the WN simulcast, went ahead with Breakfast branding and straps throughout. I wonder if they have the facility play out normal BBC News titles if the need arises?

Here is the close to GMB at 10:25. I'm becoming rather impressed by the way they handle such stories. Their coverage today was rather better than the BBC's, and that says a lot coming from a die hard Breakfast fan. Shocked

According to the BBC's website schedule, BBC News at Six and Ten both extended again, sadly as too many tragedies of late.
