Swearing during an eyewitness account badly managed by Vic Derbyshire.

I imagine there is a lot of finger pointing at the council. I suspect a period of silence then denial, excuses and wriggling. Then hopefully a Panorama investigation.

Might be worth posting a link to this blog

It's not far from TV Centre and the BBC/Ericssons remaining W12 facilities. Not near enough to cause issues except for staff getting in.

The one time ever that the roof cam on top of TVC would have been useful for a major news story! Sad

Surely the roof cam would have been useful at the time of the BBC bombing back in 2001? Times have moved on from TVC however. IMO the ITV coverage has been superior this morning with Piers Morgan asking questions of the director of the refurbishment company.

Causing Joanna Gosling to come in as studio backup (although the picture of the scene was maintained).

No as that was right outside the front of the building, so TVC itself was in the way. The famous shot of the bomb going off was taken from the top of the car park

Note that Sky are scheduling ads at the same pattern as during the London Bridge terrorist attacks.

Looks like Jane's live feed has been breaking up a bit

An eyewitness has said something about a faulty fridge?

He was on the floor where the fire started and someone said it was a fridge on fire.

Sounds like a likey cause, there have been warnings about fridges catching fire, I think the ones with the sealed backs.

Though tumble dryers are the main culprits for for setting fire to things at the moment. There's still many thousands of Whirlpool models with a design flaw in homes

Are the sealed back one all the way down or just the top half with motor just exposed?

There was a lot of break-up on both picture and sound whilst Sadiq Khan was doing a press conference, and looks like the bit-rate was being adjusted up and down as the picture became pixellated and then came back. Were they using mobile networks or satellite?

Beko fridge-freezers are the ones that have been been in the spotlight for such fires.
