There has just been a complete lack of human empathy from the government. Corbyn, Sadiq Khan and even the Queen have been amongst the victims whilst Theresa May has kept them at arms length and talked to the media about the event in private rooms rather than on the ground amongst the people. Although there is alot of political questions behind the anger, and rightly so, ultimately if this did lead to the fall of an unstable Primeminister it's going to be due to her personal failings rather than her political failings..
It seems to be the people in Charge that have shown the must lack of empathy, including the awful interview last night from the cllr leader who if blame the people in the tower for not waiting sprinklers. As I said earlier there was interview with labour cllr who was furious about letter being sent to the victim complaining about their dogs.
Bringing it back to presentation and must say what a great job the broadcast media have done all week. There were quite rightly some questions about the focus on individuals still trapped as the disaster unfolded and I still don't know where I stand on that although it did make the story about the people in the tower rather than the tower itself. I think it's also telling that the media have asked themselves questions - both Mary Nightingale on Tonight (last night) and Jon Snow have mentioned about being confronted about how the media were not there to cover the concerns over fire safety when they were raised and to give them a voice when they needed that voice.
Did anyone go to ITN news about the story? did ITN Know about the story?

I've been listening to Radio London quite a bit this week and they're doing a fantastic job. They've covered it continuously since the first reports of the fire. It's the sort of coverage you'd expect from a BBC local station, especially one that is now the only dedicated London radio station.

Getting onto the TV coverage of the event, I think it has been good, however at times the media seems to have shown a lack of respect, filming people being told loved ones have died is never something I can agree with. Also the broadcasting of video in which children can be heard screaming from the burning tower, I just don't think it's right.

Yes, they've just shown the pictures on the News channel with a camera on the ground behind the Police corden and a helicopter shot. Surely a camera pointing out of one of the top floor windows would have been more apt?
They showed some VT of the Grenfell Tower with Television Centre in the background and crossed live to the protest outside Broadcasting House.

You can't start blaming political parties for things like this, because how far do you go back? Which government do you blame? The Conservatives for cutting services, Labour for overspending, the Lib Dems for agreeing to cuts when in coalition? It's not right for anybody to use this tragic incident for political reasons.
It would not have been wise for Theresa May for to visit the victims at the scene. Sadiq Khan got some abuse when he visited yesterday, and even The Queen faced some hostility once she'd left. Seeing the PM would cause tensions to rise, because people want somebody to blame and shout at.

Sadiq took it on the chin, The Queen didn't get jeered it was a distraught relative who wanted her and Wills to come over to where they were. Sorry still poor from the PM the way things have turned out.

Then who do you blame?
Ultimately they are responsible. They are the only ones you can blame. They are in charge of the regulations, all of them, so it is down to them.

"They" - who, exactly? That was my exact point. Who exactly are you blaming? Not just government as a whole, but exactly who?
We don't actually know who is to blame, and we won't know until the enquiry. However, at the early stages it appears to be the management company and contractors who are to blame, not any political party.

However it was the Conservative led K&C Council who decided to move their housing management to an arms length management company while maintaining ownership of the stock.
