Does anyone know when the first reports of this began coming through? Was ITV reporting on the story before GMB?

They've dragged out Margo Leadbetter, sorry Victoria Derbyshire, to do rolling news on this fire.

The thing is, there is no news to report other than continually report the same few lines.

Now VD is being utterly dramatic "talking of children being thrown out of the block". This is Daily Mail standard of journalism. She's utterly awful.

As radiolistener said, this doesn't need to be done - people should freely be able to switch to the BBC News Channel if they wish.

Breakfast handed straight over to Victoria Derbyshire which had generic BBC News titles, watched on the NC I assume the same was on BBC1

It's not far from TV Centre and the BBC/Ericssons remaining W12 facilities. Not near enough to cause issues except for staff getting in.

The one time ever that the roof cam on top of TVC would have been useful for a major news story! Sad

That's very true.

Still, fulfils the remit of the dreadful VD programme - 'human interest stories' which usually mean misery. And my doesn't she love swimming in other people's misery. *

* Please note I have full care and compassion as to what is happened and the people hurt or worse, my responses are to do with the media coverage, as if it needed explaining.
