It seems like the media just can't win. On the one hand they're being accused of being intrusive, showing people trapped in the building, using helicopters constantly, etc. and then on the other hand, the likes of Lily Allen are accusing them of under-playing the tragedy and trying to cover up the horrific reality of this tragedy.
There's a very difficult line that broadcasters in situations like this have to tread between appearing sensationalist and intrusive, and not adequately conveying the appalling nature of the situation. Inevitably some will think you've fallen one side of this line, and some, on the other.
Many have commented that GMB shouldn't have shown the man at the window in the burning building. Was it sensationalist to show that, or were they just demonstrating the desperate reality of what was actually happening? If they had omitted this, would they not have been sanitising the truth?
Helicopters were raised again by a local resident during a live on Sky News.
Clearly the reason this is happening is because of the media's helicopter. But that chopper obviously was very distant from the tower.
I highly doubt it's only the media's helicopter. The Met surely had to have had their airships up in the air.

I think the best interview today will be for sky news with one of the Cllrs, who has put the boot in the council, housing people, and people who refurbished the tower and even Gas broad claiming there put the pipe in the stair well, and would explain all the blue light.

Agreed. The BBC in particular is getting battered lately by the left for right wing bias, and the accusation in this instance is that they're "underplaying the death toll". What they're actually doing is saying the death toll is "30 but that is expected to rise" which is in line with their reporting of any tragedy.
There is a far left agenda being pushed on social media which is becoming very dangerous in my opinion.
Placards there saying "we demand an inquiry" when a full public enquiry was announced days ago. I understand the emotions running high but if you're going to make a political statement, make it meaningful.

I'm not convinced in this case it's necessarily anything to do with left or right. I think it's just angry people who don't understand how news works trying to find people to blame. It probably ties in more with the general distrust of 'the establishment' which is coming from both ends of the political spectrum.
