ITV News London once again was live from North Kensington, not with Nina Hossain or Charlene White, but relief presenter Lucrezia Millarini. Surprised there wasn't anyone else senior to cover what is still an ongoing event.

Lucrezia presents the national news sometimes - I'm sure she classes as fairly senior.

Re: Victoria Derbyshire - seems like some like her style, some don't. I think she's pretty good - I think they're wanting her to be their version of Kay Burley.

I'm not sure Saturday on rotation with a group of regional presenters and the occasional bank holiday is considered senior? Both are slow news days. However, it seems someone at ITN liked her coverage of the London Bridge attacks and rostered her on today.

The difference with Kay is that she maintains some form of gravitas and will change her delivery to suit. Derbyshire on the other hand presents her bulletins as if she's on 5 Live still. She can just about get away with it on her normal BBC2 show, but a breaking news format is another.

I feel very sorry for all those people who were trapped inside while fire was still burning inside. I also agree with the internet - I think it's horrible that GMB just kept cameras on that poor man throughout their coverage yesterday morning.

I dont know, I still think it strange he was kept in the building that long, but at least people know was alive, and maybe GMB wanted to highlight some good.

He was on a fairly low floor in the building so perhaps they assumed he was safe and it was only a matter of time before he was rescued.

We've all seen Kay Burleys 'Gravitas' - I don't think Victoria Derbyshire wants to be compared with Murdoch's throttler-in-chief Very Happy

I think this is one of the most ridiculous statements I have read on TV Forum in ages

Not a Kay fan clearly? I'm not exactly a Kay Burley super fan, but at least she's covered events such as 9/11 with gravitas. Can the same be said for Victoria?

All we're seeing here is the Kay bashers against the Derbyshire bashers. I'm at least trying to be centrist to this debate.

Kay is the longest serving rolling news presenter who can cover pretty much any breaking story effortlessly. To even compare her to sob story specialist Derbyshire is insulting.

I really like Kay, despite the fact she has a lot of hate.

No matter what you throw her into she looks comfortable and is able to adapt well to any situation, she very much comes across as someone who can think on her feet and nothing phases her, we've seen that a lot in the last few weeks and she hasn't put a foot wrong for me.

People say she's cold but really she isn't, she's handled the London and Manchester attacks very sensitively and been very warm to people that she has interviewed. But also she isn't afraid to ask tough questions and nobody is going to get an easy ride from her and asks the questions that people want to know the answer to.

At the end of the day the idea of an interview with politicians and other people is to get their views and get them to answer questions, Kay is excellent at this, she doesn't allow people to fob her off or avoid answering questions, she calls a spade a spade if someone tries this and will really really take them to task, rather than some other interviewers who just accept whatever non answers come out of peoples mouths.

She is absolutely dedicated and loves her job.

The difference is, as stated Kay's been a rolling news presenter for far longer and has that extra experience.

As a studio based, packaged show presenter Victoria Derbyshire is good. I disagree with some of the want of a better word 'feminist' agenda the programme pushes from time to time (would be good to see some more men's issues discussed for balance), but the show format is very good.

The only likeness between Kay and Victoria are the shows they present or have presented. The Victoria Derbyshire show is basically what (was) Afternoon Live on Sky News in all but name. The presentation, style, delivery, even the way the set is used is remarkably similar.

Feel I should emphasise what I said, which is that I think they want her to be their version of Kay, not that I think the two are comparable.

I'm fiercely pro-Kay, I agree with those defending her here. She is brilliant.
