It really was a daft decision to repaint the window frames from grey to black. Now it's getting dark earlier, the background for Not The One Show is basically just one big black mess - which they should have been able to see coming.
Admittedly, though, this probably isn't the show's biggest problem...
Scodie is away this week, so Jemma Forte shadowed LS last week according to her Twitter and is covering this week.
Personally I'd like to see a CSO in the 'hub' so that they can do proper weather forecasts without having to squint to see the limited area map full of chunky graphics.
Appears Wake Up London is in another experimental phase. Yesterday had a headline strap and today's half hourly heads were at x31 past each hour instead of 35.
Alex Beard also did a brief newspaper front page review.
I noticed now that London Live has introduced a regular half hour of tele shopping into the daytime schedule, in addition to the 15 minute Shop London thingy.

Indeed, 45 minutes tomorrow of Teleshopping. 10.30-11am and the Westfield feature at 5pm.
Just dipped into a bit of Not The One Show. They played out some pretty garish full-screen graphics, and it's clear that nobody at London Live has ever heard of a 'bug-safe area'... (The bug is put on by the TX company, which might explain why nobody in their graphics dept. ever thinks about it).
On the plus-side, they're doing a fairly comprehensive round-up of the day's events at the Conservative conference. A pretty solid live cross spoilt by the truly abysmal picture quality of the remote guest.
Unfortunately, they're now talking about "would Boris Johnson make a good comedian?". Normal service has been resumed...
