And they appear to have given up updating the website with content.

Perhaps the news team has been furloughed so will be back next month.

Or maybe OFCOM have been

Really if they can’t provide a single second of news output for more than six months they should give up and shut down

Or be shutdown.

It strikes me that London Live and the rest of the local TV network would provide a good launchpad for either...
- GB News or
- the rumoured rival Murdoch service.

It would provide exposure through a high ranking Freeview number* and welcome source of £ for a network that surely can't be making money apart from the sale of multiplex capacity via Comux.

Based on what has been allowed by Ofcom, all that would be needed is a minimal local opt-out once a day.

*otherwise be damned to a slot behind RT SD on the Freeview EPG.

According to their website, London Live News is back from Monday 16th at 6pm.

When even That's TV have been providing a 10 min bulletin during lockdown, there's been no excuse for London Live not to do their derisory 30 minute weekday bulletin. To think it used to be 5.5 hours a day and none of it was news!

So what is that - 8 months with no news? Ridiculous- if a PSB cannot provide a public service during a national crisis then maybe it shouldn't exist at all.

It’ll be interesting to see what they do put out on Monday (if it happens at all). Prior to the first lockdown the show consisted mostly of arts related interviews with very little actual news.

Well they've got 8 months of news to catch upon. Those three people who watch nothing but London Live are in for a shock.
