OK, I know I may get shot down in flames for this, but I do wish they'd stop referring to the suicide bombers as being British and saying this was their country.. they are NOT Brits... they may have been born in this country, but their origin is NOT British! There's no way that a Brit would do this sort of thing to their own country.

It's comments like that, and the general intolerance of other cultures, which makes it so difficult for certain ethnic groups to integrate.

This makes it so much easier for people with terrorist agendas to convince some people that British people are against them and get them to commit these terrible acts.

If it takes acts like these to make us all face up to people like you and fight for equality for all, to fight your prejudice, and all live and work together in this land respecting all, then some good may come of it.

EDIT: Joe, please take the reference to 7/7 out of your signature. It almost gives the attacks a brand name, and while they need to be remembered, writing the full date would be beneficial as it's not nearly as tacky and shows you do care. Thanks.

Well I was going to change it , but being as though you asked so rudely I'm going to leave it a little longer just to annoy YOU. How dare you say that I don't care about this disaster. I joined in with the two minute silence at midday today in a shopping centre.

BBC2 stayed with the golf, where the silence was also observed.

It's hard to convey register on websites, but let me assure you you have, yet again, the completely wrong end of the stick. I said please and I didn't command you to do anything.

This comment by Spencer for Hire on Metropol24))7 echoes my comments and my sentiments. There really is no requirement to be so rude to me either - I've said such a thing to a lot of people and they have not come up with such a comeback.

And don't you dare come back with something about your health. Three members of my family are suffering from cancer as well, one of whom had a heart attack. If you wish to continue this petty fight, please do so over PM.

I also didn't actually say you didn't care, I said "and shows you do care". Does that say you don't care? Analyse it all you want, but as far as I can tell, it means that you show you care more than if you give the whole day some branded identity.

Thank you.

Calendar was also simulcast on the ITV News Channel tonight

That awful live DOG is now identical almost to BBC N24. It looks terrible.

It's much better than the one on News 24. At least it isn't in a very thin font meaning that it merges into the black and the first and last letters are right on the edge of the box!

Calm down chaps. Hardly the time or the place to leech onto each others throats, is it??

I find it quite bizarre to have two news anchors presenting a national news bulletin from the paving outside a row of terraced houses. (If that is indeed what it is above). Was there another presenter in the studio covering other stores at this point, or did they present the entire bulletin from the driveway?

I watched Sky for a bit last night and they caught the local council "chief" in Leeds being interviewed by Jeremy Thompson back at the studio via a two way split screen, and typically some teenage girls decided to have a laugh by larking behind the poor man.

It always amazes me that producers continue to do this sort of thing, especially when they know that it is going to happen. Why not have the man (sorry, I forgot his name) in their Leeds studio instead???

They've reverted back to that horrible red again...ITV News seem to be on a mission to change their DOG on every OB!
Also worth noting that ITV News is now using "7/7" as their 'brand name' in relation t these bombings, and appear to have dropped "Target London".

Does someone just sit in ITN and randomely pic what live bug will be used on ITV news or something? Yesterday we had pics of one ala News 24, today its red with no location, and on the Lunchtime News there is the massive one in the lower left hand corner that includes the four ITV squares. Why cant they standardise the graphics they use? The same can be said for the sloppy use of the many 'exclusive' bugs - its not hard to to!

Damn - Time_Warp just beat me to this! Smile

I prefer Joe's to that pathetic offering from rdobbie. But he's a waste of space anyhow so one can't expect much more.
