If this is a terrorist attack, and that is looking highly likely, then it may be an agreed procedure to state initially that the system is being closed down due to power problems so that people evacuate the system in a controlled manner and do not panic.

would make sense and is perfectly sensible.

Sky seem to be going far more with the terrorist line than the BBC are. Would the BBC's position cause them to report this differently at all?

BBC have been reporting about the bus and have just read a Scotland Yard statement carried on PA (on Five Live at least).

Fox News had a Breaking News banner on their site earlier but it's now down to a PA copy. CNN has it in "other news".

The BBC's site crashed earlier but they're back up with live video. Sky is timing out for me. ITV is fine although presumably because nobody would ever look there for actual news.

Not sure why the Sky Copter is hovering above the tube station when there is not a lot to see. We could do with it flying around to find one of these buses.

ITN now showing eyewitness interviews carried out in Gray's Inn Road outside their front door.

ITN is very close to both King's Cross and Russell Square.
