I knowthis was raised earlier, but ITV have gone through the whole day without adverts; has this ever happened before, and how are they coping?

Not sure why Mark Austin is in Trafalgar Square. Is it because there are fixed facilities for OBs there?

Because it provides a good comparison with yesterday's programme.

The headlines on the Six must have been the longest ever, with multiple headlines, Blair's speech, 'we'll be speaking to our reporters etc', It was 2 minutes past by the time Sophie said 'It's Six O'Clock'!

I've been following ITV News today

It's been really well done, and I think commendable that no ads have been shown. To broadcast on a commercial channel from 1-7pm with no ads is something of an achievement.

ITV News special at 9pm tonight too.

Tim Ewart reporting now from London.
A bit of a weird 'LIVE' graphic being used now, I wonder why there's a big space underneath.

And looked what happened. ITV requested more minutes onto their advert breaks after it all settled down.

Yeah very sudden switch on N24 to the Six O'Clock News on BBC ONE. The cut Alastair Darling off sharpish and seemed to have a need to cut very quickly. I wonder why, do they need the N24 studio for something?
