It was being described as such here - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/default.stm - but they've now changed it to a BBC News Special with Newsnight's Jeremy Paxman.

Six O'Clock News was scheduled to be co-presented by George in Scotland and Sophie in London. I wonder whether George has come back south. If not then perhaps we might have Darren or Chris Eakin on location perhaps?

Given that it's a BBC News special, would the programme not take place in the BBC News or N24 studio? That is if it is not OB.

BBC Online feed has gone down and just some music. It says it will be back shortly with the 6 o' Clock news

Who came in on ITV at 13.00 and 14.00? I thought Austin onlyanchored from 12.30-13.00.
