Rumours going around that there could be some sort of incident at Canary Wharf. Probably just a hoax though.

No news of this anywhere, Antz; what is your source?

Just a few internet forums (yes, DS included unfortunately).

Sky News mentioned they heard about an incident at the Canary Warf (spl?) and I have seen on forums that a suicide bomber has been arrested.

Sky asked Martin Brunt if he heard any news from canary wharf about an incident that has taken place, Martin said he's heard nothing.

I've just heard from a friend that a suicide bomber had been shot dead at Canary Wharf.

I know this is not news channel related but ive just noticed that MTV, VH1 and TMF have abandoned all scheduled programming and are just showing continuous music videos.

Edit: VH2 and VH1 Classic have now also abandoned all scheduled programming as well.

SAW, my first choice for the latest breaking news from Britain and around the world, reckon that Paris and New York are on "high alert". It's not like it's related to the Olympics!

Have to say, I find that somewhat unlikely.

Presumably an armed policeman happened to be there and saw someone with a giant clock on his head going 'five, four, three...' and fired, right?

I think were it that easy to spot a suicide bomber then we might be a little better off than we are at the moment, no?

Channel M in Manchester have abandoned normal programming and are showing EuroNews. They've moved their DOG up on-screen slightly to introduce a ticker over the EuroNews information strap. The ticker is constantly repeating: "Due to events in London, our normal schedule will resume later."

All EuroNews appears to be doing is showing various Live / Pre-recorded pictures. They are surrounding the coverage with "No Comment" bumpers, and most of it appears to be without commentary, presenters or anything else. As I speak there is a pre-recorded announcement explaining the situation. They're also cutting away for weather at usual times (not sure on Business but I've not seen any).

CiTV will be on ITV2 today.

ITV have just switched the feed. Now complete with DOG and ticker.

Though the cropping to 14:9 on ITV1 means that the top of the DOG is cut off...
