I take it Huw is at WM because they can't get enough staff at TVC?
Here's an image of the bus that was blown up in Tavistock Square: -

Huw Edwards is the more senior journalist and is rightly presenting the news.
Your entitled to your opinion, but if I was the presenter of the BBC's 1 o'clock news, I would be disheartened that the presenter of the 10 o'clock news was taking my place. It shows a lack of confidence in his ability.

The BBC yet again show a lack of faith in Darren Jordan to present a major news story.

Poor old John Raey - he has been cut off numerous times on the ITV Lunchtime News so far to goto something more important!
At least ITV News did cut to Tony Blair talking for the second time today about the terrorism at 13:05. I flicked over to BBC 1 and they didnt cut to Tony Blair talking in Gleneagles at all. I suppose they will replay it later in their bulletin?

What are BBC World and CNN showing at the moment? I would assume World is taking N24 just now?
If not, who is handling World's output? Normally Nisha Pilla is the duty presenter at this time of the week.
RIP those affected.

Actually it is very remiscent of bloody friday in belfast in 1972 when the IRA set off several bombs around the city simaltenously, though I don't think its republican terrorists this time.
with hindsight it seems obvious london was especially vulnerable at this time with all the main security people up at gleneagles. I just hope blair doesnt use this tragedy to force through the ID card scheme.

PS
Bit late, but it was interestingly to see earlier on when all five terrestrial channels were covering this- BBC One had News 24, BBC Two had the Daily Politics talking about it, ITV had the ITV News Channel, Channel 4 has the News and Noon, and Five seemed to be doing their own rolling coverage.
For the sake of unneccessary speculation- if the bombs were detonated by suicide bombers (which they apparently havn't yet managed to confirm or deny), maybe the bus was only blown up because the bomber was turned away from one of the stations, due to earlier bombs?
