Why is this being dealt with some Scottish minsters and NOT by Foreign office of jack straw, this devolution have been badly through out.

Scotland has its own judiciary system, so it was a decision for Holyrood not Westminster-- so not for Jack Straw to pass comment I suppose.

A very well produced News at Six on STV. The show ended silently with a sombre montage of a Lockerbie memorial gravestone blended with a shot of an aeroplane landing.

Unfortunately, this jarred rather inappropriately with the upbeat sponsor sting into the weather advertising FlyBe - your local airline.

Erk.

I hear they have the loathsome Winner doing the English ones - so perhaps not so bad.

Yes - it was a well put together programme tonight. It flew by as well - I could have watched for much longer.

A real shame about the delays in the two way interviews. Really sluggish lag between the Q&A with the guests, and they lost the link with Kenny McAskill at the end of the interview - although he was being so measured and careful with his words I could have sworn he'd been briefed about all of the questions put to him.

Perhaps not surprising, in the circumstances.

It surprises me the ignorance of some commentators about the Scottish legal system in this respect. The US going hyper over it is typical of this ignorance. Can they not accept that Scotland has always administered it's own laws albeit being drafted now by Edinburgh and not London?

It's been a classic demonstration of devolved Government in practice. At least the Westminster politicians have been circumspect about the process today.

Was more the fact I had a sombre image of an plane and wreckage at the front of my mind, when the image of the Flybe aeroplane then appeared with all sorts of people larking around dressed up as beefeaters in the cabin. That's the usual sting though, so maybe I'm just being sensitive. Would have been hard for STV to forsee it appearing that way to viewers.

I did miss the start so sounds like the show may not have been as good as I thought. I did like the "Lockerbie Files" segment which was very well put together and reminded me very clearly of all of the background.

No, it's worse - Sheila's Wheels.

I'm just glad the ITV News didn't end with sombre images and then crash into the weather, which is what happened some weeks ago. Makes me realise that the bloody boring EON stings weren't actually that bad.
