Looks like Sky has the first picture this time - albeit just an emailed snap of a helicopter...

As on Monday night both Sky News and ITV News have been appealing for viewers to email photos and video clips.

ITV News went live to Shereen Nanjiani in the Scotland Today studio at about 7.20, but she didn't know any more than Owen Thomas in London.

"A Royal navy helicopter has rescued 18 people who were trapped by a landslide at Lochearnhead in Central Scotland.

It is believed about 30 people remain and require to be airlifted from the blocked road on the A85 near Stirling. "

From what I heard the A85 was blocked by landslides, shuting the road not allowing any cars to escape, but I did not hear of a landslide trap any cars, just blocking the road either end.

There is astonishingly loud thunder above Edinburgh, and it appears to be getting closer. Similarly to Calendar, it has been raining here almost solidly for the past 3 days.

we've just had that thunder and lightening too. Very close to the house too.

... and it's still there after 9 o'clock

Also, the ITV News Channel has two presenters after 9pm for the first time - Chris Rogers and Owen Thomas.
