In light of the cuts at ITV, should local newspapers be doing more bring local video news to people? Obviously, a newspaper should concentrate on getting the paper out more than anything, but if each paper had a dedicated and trained video journalist they could put a good few reports together in their specific areas and plug these in their papers.
Has anyone found some good and bad examples of local reporting on their or any other newspaper’s website?

Here are some video sites on the local newspapers:

Do you also think they should be using YouTube (possibly with a little DOG) to get more views, or keep them on their own websites?

The Carlow Nationalist newspaper in Ireland has been doing this for a few months and they're quite good it has to be said. They're mainly sport videos like this one, but they also put together videos from the local election count as well.
