Maybe Mediaboy or someone else in the know maybe able to answer this, but how many galleries have been in operation during Vote 2012? We often hear of several galleries being used for coverage, including TC7 and N6 (while the output is in N9) to manage all the outside feeds.

A rare moment there, David Dimbleby teasing into/throwing over to the weather on the News channel.

N9 Main Gallery
TC2 - Vine (working into N9 - (and N6 and TC7 for Bullies)
Basement - HUB Operation - feeding N9 the OB's down 5 different OS Lines

Overnight News - N8 working into N9

Daytime news - N6 working into N9

So all in all - over the 48 hours - EVERY BBC News Gallery has been used.

Who presented the coverage in between because 12pm is a hefty chunk of the 11am shift. How has it worked today?

Jon Sopel was live in Westminster while Matthew lead the coverage from the studio. Sophie took over the reins in N6 at midday.

That a quote of the day from David:

What about the poor bloody voters

I wonder whether the NC will stay with the London Mayoral result if it hasn't been announced by 10pm, rather than simulcasting the 10? They're in N8 at the moment, but I suppose could just come from the OB at the count if they needed to.

They are supposed to be getting 5 mins warning so it may be that the 10 can throw to it live too. Though there is the risk that those 5 mins could be a lot longer.
