Well it looks like BBC News 24 have not been talking to the Election 2007 graphics designers, all of the information regarding how the parties are doing are obscured by News 24's clock and ticker.

It's perfectly alligned. News 24 can maintain their ticker, BBC One with a bit more detail. Name straps etc sit neatly above either of these.

How are ITV Wales getting on, seeing as they're doing the only all-night election special on ITV?

Lets bear in mind that to accomodate N24's ticker there would have to be astons half way up the screen.

But would it not have been better to have that info in tower form, which could line up with the News 24 logo, then no one has to miss the latest. I know i am just being picky, but it is a minor flaw in the graphics.

Although i do have to say the News 24 ticker is being used brilliantly this evening, there is far more information tonight, than normal, i suppose it is the only real source of news for the next few hours. Currently at the time World Business Report airs, there is quite a detailed currency report.

No that shot was shown on Newsnight before the main programme started.

Not unexpected that they'd be little effort on network BBC1 studio wise considering it's not a general election - but although the studio is perfectly functionable, when it's just a desk it doesn't seem to warrant all the disruption to the news over the week.

Surely if they've got Mr Vine in a virtual studio, they could have incorporated an additional desk area into it quite comfortably.

ITV Wales have been doing prity well so far. Extended the studio with some partitions and have a pannel of MP's disscusing the votes. The newsroom is home to the graphics with two reporters looking over the numbers. They also have a "Party" in th green room with GLC, Sian Loyd and a cartoonist.

They have been giving the best info on the Ticker and were first of the Welsh Broadcasts to announce the 1st seat in Scotland. Doing Well

I know it's the same pretty much every time, but what a waste of time the graphical section is. Took Mr. Vine 5 minutes to tell us a new worst ever result would be bad for Labour and a better result isn't as bad with some crap tennis analogy. Ditto "Cameron's house". If someone can't understand the information without the graphics it's probably not worth bothering.

Also, the pub bit is also not necessary. I guess they'd be at a loss without a London based OB or a Rory Bremner skit (which was also performed word for word last week).
