I'm waiting to see what BBC London will do with the local opt outs on BBC ONE tonight - as there haven't been any Elections in the London area will we just get a round up of whats happened across the country when the other regions are showing their own thing?

(PS - Janner, I'm just going to have a look in my Devon dialect book to see if i can figure out what your sig says!)

They'll probably go with News 24 who'll do a news round-up if previous years are anything to go by.

But what about the areas around London (Spelthorne, Slough etc) who receive BBC London and are having council elections? Surely they are not going to ignore us like they do for news?!

BBC Parliament showing BBC Scotland's coverage. It's gone now, but when it started it had the interactive dog burnt on.

Though on BBCi, there is only a text service. No reason they couldn't put the BBC Wales coverage on BBCi too so all Freeview viewers can access the network, Wales and Scotland coverage.

The BBC Wales studio looks pretty good - and S4C seem to have an identical studio too.

This Scottish presenter bloke is getting on my nerves - couldn't they fly up Kirsty Wark?

Jeremy Vine doing swingometer stuff on the Scottish programme too - Wales have their own bloke - don't know if he's doing it for both BBC Wales and S4C.

Clever bit of Keying then as they set it up to look like he is in TC7.

BBC Scotland's Election Night guy is called Glenn Campbell - I quite like him! At least he has a bit of personality!

Liking BBC Scotland's coverage so far, quite professional (though why they sent Catriona Renton to such an important count as Wishaw is beyond me!) Though they do seem to be using the older graphics - one downpoint! A proper looking election studio - unlike BBC Wales' which just seems to be a fancy newsroom - it looks a bit quiet for an election night! Good graphics though.

I see BBC Scotland and Wales are both using Jeremy Vine - though Wales seem to also have their own guy - reason?

Nice effect there, using the overhead shot with a similar shot of Jeremy Vine's studio overlayed so it looks like it's all one studio

So they can have somebody bilingual for the S4C version?
