World doing its own usual programmes I believe. It's not a general election so little impact to viewers outside the UK.
From memory the elections being contested are:
Local councils (England)
Police and crime commissioners (England and Wales)
London mayor
Scottish Parliament, Welsh and Northern Irish Assemblies (hence the nations having their own coverage)

There are also two parliamentary by-elections taking place as well, London has an Assembly election too and there are other DE Mayors being elected.
Scotland's election and maybe the London Mayor I'd expect to get a mention on BBC World News but the others are unlikely to get a mention as they aren't really that significant internationally.
Sky News have 'Decision Time' listed from 10pm tonight, however there isn't much to report for a few hours because there are no exit polls and the first results take a while to come through.
I'm surprised BBC World isn't taking the BBC English coverage. While it may not be relevant to the entire international audience, the broadcaster is primarily there to tell the world what is happening in the UK. France 24 is a good example. A global news channel with a French flavour. It covered the French local elections focusing on the globally interesting angle of the Front Nationale. In the case of the UK, there are a few relevant angles, such as the fate of the UK Labour party. If it performs poorly across all elections, it's game over for Corbyn. I'd also argue that the London Mayoral election is of global interest as London is now very much a global city.
On the issue of result times - here in Scotland, expect the first constituency results to drip feed in from 2am. They'll try to rattle through as many as possible to free up time the next morning for the list vote calculations, which can take a lifetime!
I really despise Vine's green space and the way he moves around, along with all the camera changes on the map from one side to another on the floor. A static map would be a whole lot better on a screen, like Maitlis's.

Er, no, sorry but it isn't. BBC World has never editorially been a uk focussed channel, isn't there primarily to bring uk stories to the world and isn't (as is often supposed) a service for ex pats. Elections with potentially international consequences (such as Scottish referendum and the upcoming EU vote) will be covered by World, but local elections are not of major significance globally. There may well be bits taken here and there as results come in today but not wall to wall coverage.

You'll be jealous of David Henderson & BBC Scotland's then.

Although it did have extensive coverage, including on site OBs of the UK Olympic Torch procession in 2012, which was incredibly 'UK centric'. Even this week, I caught Open Source monopolising itself (when I tuned in at 21:30) with the Chelsea-Spurs match, as part of the Leicester City coverage, (presumably all that was on BBC World too ?).

Thought they worked well, easy to follow and good use of the atrium.
