BBC One NI are having results from 4pm on 6th May moving to BBC Two NI from 7pm-10pm and from 10.35pm again on BBC One NI with coverage continuing on Saturday 7th May from 11am as our count centres do not count overnight for the Assembly Election. Due to the complex nature of voting in NI it will probably be going onto Sunday afternoon for the final results to be known as last time BBC NI and UTV were on the air from early afternoon on the Friday and the first result didn't come until 7pm some 9 hours after the counting began.

See more about BBC NI coverage including their Leaders Debate here:

Alongside more coverage on the BBC News Channel of England.

At least they're not doing the hour on, hour off coverage they seem to have done in recent years.

Is the Mayoral count for London overnight and is anything of note being done for the London region especially?

Not that I can see. Interesting to note London had a PPB by Brtiain First today while the rest of England got the Lib Dems.

To amend the above listings, Victoria Derbyshire and Newsroom Live on Friday have now been replaced with a BBC News Special on BBC2, and the afternoon segment now starts at 14:00. I've updated my original post.

With the variations in mind do the election broadcasts air on BBC1/2 HD?

This came up in another thread, there was a slide when different PBBs were broadcast in London, telling viewers to tune to analogue.

So is the network programme likely to be with Huw from Millbank?

It's supposed to be, but in the past it's always taken absolutely ages. In 2008 the result was revealed at 11.55pm on the Friday and everyone said it would never be as late as that again. And they were right, because in 2012 it was revealed at 11.50pm on the Friday.

As mentioned London have had different PPBs and the debate on Monday but there probably won't be any opt-outs because the London mayor adds a bit of excitement to the otherwise rather dull business of English local elections so they'll go big on it on the main programme.

There are also the Police and Crime Commissioner elections on the same day, to prolong the tedium at the counts.

On ITV1 London we had a brief newsflash scheduled at 9pm the Friday after the 2008 vote, although as it took so long there was nothing to announce other than "counting continues". I recall Alastair Stewart sounding particularly frustrated in the late bulletin that night where he basically had to say "go to the website for the result"...
